CV Score tells you what is wrong with your CV before you send it.
Most applicants never learn why they were rejected. Recruiters rarely explain their decision, professional CV reviews are slow and expensive, and many free checkers either store the document or hide how they judge it. CV Score closes that gap: you upload a PDF and get a structured assessment of the document in about 60 seconds, measured against criteria that are published in full.
How the assessment works
A CV is evaluated across eight professional categories: contact information and header, professional summary, work experience, education and qualifications, skills and competencies, layout and visual design, language and communication, and strategic positioning including ATS readiness. Each category is computed from individual checks, 48 in total, such as contact completeness, quantified achievements, action verbs, chronological consistency, formatting consistency, tense consistency, keyword coverage and ATS-compatible structure.
The input is a PDF of up to 5 MB and three pages. Native text documents and scanned documents are both supported; scans are read via OCR. No account is needed to start and no credit card is required.
What the free result gives you
The free assessment returns a clear verdict on whether the document is worth fixing, a percentile that puts it in context, a traffic-light band and issue count per category, one full strength written out, and the headline of the single highest-impact problem. That is enough to decide whether to rewrite the CV or send it as it is. Creating a free account, with one click via Google or LinkedIn, stores the result so you can come back to it.
What the paid report adds
The Fix Report is a one-time purchase of 4.99 US dollars. It unlocks the numeric 0-100 scores per category and overall, every finding with an explanation of why it matters, and rewritten before and after versions of the flagged passages, so you can see exactly what a stronger formulation looks like. It also includes one verification re-scan after you apply the changes. For an active job search there is a Job Search Pack with five unlocks for 12.99 dollars and a Lifetime unlock for 29.99 dollars. All prices include VAT and all of them are one-time: CV Score does not sell subscriptions to new customers.
Honest limits
CV Score reviews the document. It does not simulate a specific employer applicant tracking system, it does not predict whether you will be invited to an interview, and it does not write a CV from scratch. The complete rubric, the score bands and these limitations are published at cvscore.net/methodology so the result can be checked instead of taken on faith.
Privacy
Your CV is processed only for your own analysis. It is never used for AI training, it is never sold, and you can delete it from your account at any time. The subprocessors are published, and the product is GDPR compliant.
Who it is for
Job seekers and career changers who want feedback before applying, graduates writing their first professional CV, non-native speakers who want their language and structure checked, and freelancers or consultants refreshing their profile.
Behind the product
CV Score is built by The CodeCave GmbH in Germany on React, TypeScript, Vite, NestJS, Supabase and Tailwind. The website is available in 15 languages.

Other tools you might consider
Most applicants never learn why they were rejected. CV Score closes that gap with a published rubric instead of a black box.
That transparency is the real differentiator. The complete rubric, the score bands and the product's limitations are published openly, so you can check how a conclusion was reached. Privacy follows the same principle: your CV is processed only for your own analysis, never used for AI training, never sold, and deletable from your account at any time. The subprocessors are published and the product is GDPR compliant.
You are applying and want an honest read on your document before it goes out, rather than guessing at what a recruiter will think. It is also a good fit if you want to see exactly what a stronger formulation of a weak passage looks like, or if you simply want a consistent second opinion without paying for a slow, expensive professional review.
